Sometimes we get frustrated at work, but we need to be careful about taking it out on others. Most of the time, it isn’t their fault. They weren’t set up to win.
We also need to judge ourselves and others by the same standard. We make mistakes too. We can’t attribute the frustrating things we do to accidents while attributing what others do to incompetence or malice.
When a process is frustrating, take a moment to consider the situation. You may feel like it is something that should obviously be fixed, and part of the frustration comes from the fact that it is allowed to stay this way.
Maybe leadership sees the problem too but realizes there is a bigger problem that needs to be fixed first. Talk to your manager. Make sure they understand the problem, but also take the time to understand their position.
Then, be willing to help fix things. Take things on. If you see a problem and have a way to make it better, don’t just complain about it. Be willing to help improve it.
