You Don’t Have to Say “Yes” to Everything

It’s healthy to push back on your leadership when necessary to do the right thing. You don’t want to do this all the time, but when leadership requests something that doesn’t make sense, it’s important to explain why. This helps develop your relationship with them. They begin to see that you’re a critical thinker who won’t just say “yes” to everything. It also shows that your goal is to do what’s right for the company.
